I will be blogging here about 'Indian Artistic and Aromatic History' and people & things that has influenced, attracted and things that are still getting attracted by it!
The whole World know about the Spice trade involving mainly centered around India, which is a commercial activity of ancient origin that involves the merchandising of spices and herbs from the sub-continent. During the medieval period, Muslim traders dominated maritime spice trading routes throughout the Indian Ocean, tapping source regions in the Far East and shipping spices from trading emporiums in India westward to the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea, from which overland routes led to Europe. The route from Europe to the Indian Ocean via the Cape of Good Hope was pioneered by European navigators, such as the then great Vasco Da Gama, resulting in new maritime routes for trade!
This opened the door for easy and time saving trade options for all. Unbelievable!!
